Assignment 2 - Interview

QUESTION:

Why did you look for a career in singing?

ANSWER:

Well ever since i was younger i always had the interest in singing - family kareokes and what not but it was always my best friend Kathy who encouraged me to take it further and audition for the X - factor!

QUESTION:

When did you first sing in front of an audience?

ANSWER:

Well i used to sing with my older brother at his gatherings and stuff but then as i got older i sang down at the local pubs and restaurants which has honestly helped build my confidence and my skill but also has gained a small name for myself in the local community, which feels great! My family always got me to sing whenever the chance occurred.

QUESTION:

How did your friends and family react to you winning the X-factor?

ANSWER:

All of them were extremely supportive and most came to watch the finals! I wouldn't of gotten through the stress of it all without them! We all went out the day after to get some food, Waddah was really pleased as well!

QUESTION:

Are you excited to go on tour next week?

ANSWER:

As exciting as it is, it’s all moving really really fast, i honestly have no track of time whatsoever! One minute i’m auditioning for the X-factor then the next i’m getting ready for a worldwide tour!! Like what even? Sometimes i forget that people will actually recognize me when i go out and get the best surprise when people ask for a photo with me, like me out of all people?? It's actually been the biggest change i've experienced in my whole life!

QUESTION:

How do you feel about your upcoming album?

ANSWER:

I’m actually so excited to hear about everyone's reaction to it! The team and i have all been working very hard these past few weeks, and yes i know it is all coming as a surprise but i cannot wait! The album is full of different kinds of songs so there should be a little something for everyone. Personally my favorite thing about the album is the name itself, ‘Attack of the cucumbers’ it is quite…… original….

QUESTION:

What else do you do besides singing?

ANSWER:

I usually go out and spend time with my friends and boyfriend Waddah ;) And i had a day job at a cafe but ever since passing the audition i've sadly had to leave the job, which is a shame, but for the best! I’ve always enjoyed going to the theater and seeing what shows are on at the time, i have been going ever since i can remember! When i was little my gran would take me every sunday before ballette and i can honestly say it was the highlight of my weekends as a kid, i still go whenever i get the chance now!! My favorite show has always been ‘Hairspray’ or ‘The Blood Brothers’ they are both so amazing, they are a must see whenever they are on!
