Music Promotion Campaign
My target audience is anyone who is into pop culture, which predominately is teenagers and young adults - mainly female. This album reaches everyone in that age range by looking open to all with its black majority of colour on the front. It also appeals to my target audience in other ways by the name of the album being humours and presented in a large childish way. I went for a bold look so it can stand out and creates a less complicated and therefore the audience would be more attracted towards the album as it doesn't take a lot of thinking and that appeals to the younger audience in retrospect. I represented my artist - Lil Sibberz as strong and independent, to show that she is a solo artist therefore people become more inspired by her and makes her more admirable. She is also a good idol for teenage girls as she is independent in this photograph which most advertisements forget.
My magazine is used to attract the younger generation, such as teens and young adults - majority of females. It is mainly talking bout Lils big success of winning the X-Factor and her development of her music career. This will also attract a large audience due to the fact the X-Factor has a large fan base so they would want to follow the winner on their journey after winning the show as they watched the artist develop on screen. Talking about the build up of her career up until the audition also interests the audience as it shows how their favourite artist formed into the singer they all know and love.
For my album cover i represented the artist as a strong, independent individual. I did this by having a midst of her by herself in the photograph used. Then i gave it a bold, black background to keep all attention on the artist (Lil Sibberz). This makes the artist appealing by showing her as strong - something a young female audience will cling to. Which is what I am aiming for. The font used also gives off a 'scientific' feeling rather than the normal conventions such as a romantic give off.
